Joe Bartok

President, CEO

Bio: Joe is a music business accountant and business manager who brings over 20 years of experience to TITD. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (with honours) from Brock University in 1998, followed by a Master’s degree in Business Administration (specializing in arts, media and entertainment) from the Schulich School of Business at York University in 2006. Prior to starting TITD, Joe served in finance and accounting roles at various major and independent Canadian record labels. Joe is also an instructor of music business accounting courses, and speaks regularly at music industry conferences and workshops. Outside of TITD, Joe can be found playing drums and percussion.

Rahwa Reda

Associate Royalties Manager

Bio: With a keen attention to detail, Rahwa brings TITD excellence to all projects and clients. Rahwa started as a festival volunteer at age 17, before earning an advanced diploma in Music Business Management from Durham College in 2015. Outside of her royalty and tax work at TITD, Rahwa assists with artist services (grant writing, promotions and social media), event planning, and hospitality. Rahwa is also a founding partner of one of TITD’s sister companies, Reborn Media.

Lane Halley

Associate Business Manager

Bio: Lane effectively combines his accounting background from Ryerson University with his passion for music in his role at TITD. With over six years of accounting & bookkeeping experience, Lane brings an acute attention to detail when building “the story” for his assigned clients. Outside of work, Lane plays guitar in several Toronto based bands.

Conor Freeborn

Administrative Manager

Bio: Balancing the intersection of business and the arts is Conor’s specialty at TITD. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations at the Toronto office, Conor oversees all website development, social media and new client intake activities. Conor started in Ottawa as an event promoter at age 16, before graduating from Canterbury High School with a fine arts certificate in Theatre. He then completed Algonquin College's Introduction to Music Industry Arts program before moving to the GTA and earning a diploma in Music Business Administration from Durham College. Outside of TITD, Conor enjoys acting, artist management and drumming. Conor is also a founding partner of one of TITD’s sister companies, Reborn Media.

Ren Nguyen

Associate Business Manager

Bio: Ren is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (with a focus in accounting) from the University of Toronto. Ren’s ability to manage vast amounts of details make her an excellent resource to the TITD clients she serves. Outside of work, Ren enjoys volunteering with several youth organizations.

Neha Kohli

Senior Tax Manager

Bio: Neha brings over 6 years of tax excellence to her role at TITD, providing guidance on all personal and corporate tax matters. Neha earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (specializing in accounting) with honours in 2013 from York University's Schulich School of Business, before earning her Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) designation. Prior to joining the team at TITD, Neha managed client accounts for one of the big four accounting firms. Outside of work, Neha enjoys improv and stand-up comedy, acting and teaching.

Krystle Karacsonyi

Administrative Assistant

Bio: Krystle takes the lead on TITD’s social media while assisting with day-to-day operations. With a background in vocal (performance & coaching) and a diploma in Music Business Administration from Durham College, Krystle combines her musical prowess with her knowledge of the industry, bringing excellence to her role at TITD. Outside of the office, Krystle fronts a Toronto-based alternative rock band, and collaborates with various solo acts.

Hans-Michael Schnell

Financial Consultant

Bio: Hans is a Financial Consultant, Mortgage Agent and a Certified Cash Flow Specialist (CCS) who joined TITD in 2017. As the founder and Managing Partner of The Kreo Group Collective, Consultants In Financial Planning, he works to provide unique and personalized financial plans that align with the client’s goals and priorities. Hans earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Northwest Missouri State University and Southern Arkansas University in 2000, and spent a decade in the financial field with organizations such as Merrill Lynch, CIBC Wood Gundy and London Life. Outside of work, Hans is passionate about the start-up/freelancer community and is a big fan of the Blue Jays.
